CVS backs down on ID policy

U.S. After public backlash, CVS said it reversed its policy about IDing customers looking to buy nail polish remover.

The policy was put in place because acetone is in the product. It can be used to make methamphetamine.

In a statement, the company said it is making the change because most states do not require ID to buy the products.

Customers in Hawaii, however, will still need to show ID.
