Farmington man accused of growing pot

Farmington, N.Y.-  State Police arrested a man from Farmington accused in a pot-growing operation.

46 year-old David Brill is charged with unlawful growing cannabis, criminal possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.

State Police Investigators said they discovered two marijuana plants, both 5 feet tall, growing in the garden at Brills home. A makeshift tarp wall was in place, partially concealing the plants from the rest of the garden.

In the basement, police said they found two commercial growing cabinets with four more marijuana plants inside.  The growing cabinets had commercial grow lights, fans and a venting/filtration system, timers, and were temperature controlled.

Authorities said they also seized several other marijuana plants which were hung to dry from the garage rafters and a little over 6 ounces of marijuana in baggies.

Brill was charged with endangering the welfare of a child because authorities said he was openly conducting the marijuana growing operation in the presence of his 16 year-old son.
