Canandaigua, N.Y. Ontario County Sheriff Office made busted a big party in Hopewell, near Finger Lakes Community College.
Deputies found 144 people, all under the age of 21, along with a variety of alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drugs inside the home on Route 5 and 20 early Friday morning.
According to police, the residents who rent that home are Christopher Haines, 19, of Greece, Christopher Shea, 19, of Churchville, and Zachary Stedman, 18, of Kendall.
The three teens were charged with unlawful dealing with a child, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of alcohol under the countys social host law. Haines was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Drinking and drugs and partying all night long, said the neighbor who called 911 to report the party just after midnight Friday.
In fear of retaliation, the woman did not want to be identified. The neighbor said the party caused chaos in the quiet farming community, Oh my god, hundreds of people, there was fifty to seventy-five cars out here."
While the neighbor wanted to remain anonymous, she said she someone needed to speak up and call police.
There is always garbage everywhere, their cars are everywhereIm afraid somebody is going to get hurt.
Sheriff Philip Povero said the three teens who hosted the party admitted the party got out of hand. Word spread on social media and invites were posted to twitter. Povero said, The word evolved in the community and this brought more people out.
But neighbors said this was not an unusual occurrence. No, this is all the time, at least three to four times a week. In recent months neighbors said that home has become a notorious party house, hosting large gatherings multiple times a week.
The father of one of the teens charged said all three were FLCC students but were kicked out of the school after the party. Its unclear what, if anything will happen to the students who attended the party.
Phone calls to FLCC regarding this story were not returned.
Povero said, We have discussed this with the college and well be willing to share information with them thats appropriate for them to have.
With age range and the number of people there, Povero said this party could have been a real dangerous situation.
Drinking while intoxicated, sexual type assaults that might relate, emergency room visits, motor vehicle crashes, you know all the problems and potential catastrophes that can be linked with underage drinking, Povero said.
