National Debt ceiling looms again

Washington - Congress will take up a bill today to prevent a partial government shutdown at least for a few more months.
If approved, the measure would maintain current funding levels through mid-December.
The most recent stopgap budget expires at the end of September.

Senate and House leaders are expected to meet privately to discuss a longer term solution to the Debt ceiling problem, so threats of last minute government shutdowns dont recur every few months.
