Kodak employees optimistic after meeting

Rochester, N.Y. - With Kodak emerging from bankruptcy, workers who remain say they are encouraged about starting over.

On Thursday, they heard from CEO Antonio Perez at the Theatre on the Ridge.

After the meeting, employees told 13WHAM it was a positive message from Perez about the new Kodak and the future as a technology company.

They said they left feeling encouraged about their future and kodak's future here in rochester. They're also pleased that retirees will now be offered the option of lump sum pensions.

One retiree who took the lump sum option when he left ten years ago said it takes the money out of the company's control and gives retirees peace of mind knowing they have something to show for their years of service with the company.
