Webster officer honored for heroism in ambush

Rochester/Webster, N.Y. - One of the first responders to the Webster Christmas Eve ambush will be honored by state police today.
When William Spengler opened fire the morning of December 24, it was Webster Police Officer Mark Reed who shot back.

His fellow officers credit Reed with saving lives.
Reed will be given the New York State Officer of the Year award at a ceremony today.
