Bicyclist hurt in hit-and-run

Rochester, N.Y. - Rochester Police are looking for a driver who hit a bicyclist, and then left the scene on Monday night.

Around 7:15 p.m., the 25-year-old bicyclist was travelling east on West Main Street, when police said a driver in an unknown dark pickup truck approached the intersection with Genesee Street. Investigators said that it appears that the pickup truck driver had a green light when the bicyclist attempted to cross against the light and was struck by the pickup.

The pickup driver left the scene.

The bicyclist was taken to Strong Hospital, and is expected to survive.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
