Navy Yard reopens

Washington - The Navy Yard that was the scene of a deadly mass shooting earlier this week will reopen Thursday, Sept. 19.

All employees, except for those working in building 197, will have a regular work day.

Building 197 is where former Marine reservist Aaron Alexis opened fire Monday. He killed 12 and injured 8 others before being killed by police.

The Department of Defense has ordered reviews of security clearance procedures, saying there were "red flags" that Alexis was a danger to himself or others.
