Officials tell local media that the gunman was riding a bicycle when he shot a 36-year-old man who was standing on a street on the city's west side shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. A 22-year-old man standing nearby was hit by a stray bullet.

The shooter fled the scene on the bike.

Police say the first victim was pronounced dead at a Rochester hospital. The second victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Their names haven't been released.

The shooting occurred a day after a woman was killed and a man was wounded when a man opened fire on them on a Rochester street. The suspect turned himself in Thursday.
