RPD Officer hurt when cruiser hit

Rochester, N.Y. -  A Rochester police officer was hurt when his police cruiser was sidedwiped by another driver.

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on University Avenue near Prince Street.

Police say another Keith M. Zephro hit the police cruiser sending it into a tree.

The officer, Chad Halstead, was taken to Highland Hospital with minor injuries. He was treated and released.

Zephro was not hurt and now faces a DWI citation and a red light violation.
