Typhoon pummels Japan

Kyoto, Japan -- A powerful typhoon is hitting parts of Japan with torrential rains.

More than 300,000 people were ordered to evacuate overnight because of typhoon Man-Yi one of the most powerful storms to hit the country this season, with winds of 100 miles per hour.

At least four people have been reported missing, and nearly 50 have been injured.

That number could rise as rescue efforts continue.
