Hurricane Sandy one year later

Northeast U.S. - At this time last year millions of people in the Northeast were bracing for Hurricane Sandy.

The storm washed away homes, devastating whole communities, and forever changed a coastline.

One year later, much of the debris is gone and new homes are sprouting up.

The pictures in the video, taken before- and after-Sandy, were taken in Breezy Point, and Belle Harbor, New York.

Hurricane Sandy was blamed for at least 181 deaths and caused more than $65 billion worth of damage.
