Nevada mourns teacher after school shooting

Sparks, Nevada - New details are surfacing about the suspect and victims of a school shooting as the investigation into the attack continues.

No classes will be held at a middle school in Nevada Tuesday as they mourn the death of a math teacher who police say was shot by a 12-year-old student.

Investigators say the boy brought a semi-automatic weapon to school Monday morning killing teacher Michael Landsberry and injuring two students before turning the gun on himself.

The two boys are expected to survive.

Many gathered at a memorial service Monday night to remember math teach Landsberry. He served two tours in Afghanistan with the National Guard and is being called a hero for trying to protect children from the shooter.

He probably tried to talk the kid down and protect whoever he could, said Landsberrys brother Reggie. That sounds like Mike."

Witnesses said the shooter may have been picked on.

So far, police have not released a motive for the shooting.
