E. Rochester warns students after man approaches girl

East Rochester, N.Y. - The East Rochester School District warned its students, staff and parents about a man who approached a 12-year-old girl Tuesday.

The East Rochester Police Department said around 3:40 p.m., a 12-year-old student was approached by a man she didn't know while standing at the intersection of Main and Brizee Streets.

The man allegedly said he knew her mother and made several inappropriate comments. The girl told the man to leave her alone and ran to neighbors for help. Police searched the area but were unable to find anyone.

The man was described a heavy-set white man wearing a green and white striped short-sleeve shirt. He was driving a gold or tan SUV, possibly a Trail Blazer.
