Taped conversations to be allowed in Karlsen trial

Waterloo, N.Y. -- Taped conversations between a murder suspect and his wife will be allowed as evidence in his Seneca County trial.

Cindy Karlsen says she taped conversations with her husband Karl to find out more about the death of his son Levi.

In 2008, Levi was found dead pinned under a car he was working on. Police believe Karl Karlsen dropped that car on his son, hoping to claim insurance money.

Prosecutors say the conversations could prove to be pivotal in the trial, which starts later this month.
