Farmington 7-Eleven robbed at gunpoint

Farmington, N.Y. The Ontario County Sheriffs Office is looking for a man who held up a Farmington 7-Eleven convenience store on Wednesday night.

Close to midnight on Wednesday, a man walked into the store located at the corner of Route 332 and 96 with a hoodie over his head and a bandana across the lower half of his face.

The suspect then took out a gun and demanded that the cashier give him money from the register.

A person of interest was caught on surveillance cameras riding a bicycle away from the area of the store headed eastbound on Rt. 96 towards the Finger Lakes Racetrack and Casino. This person was wearing white shorts and a dark t-shirt.

Investigators say this type of crime in Farmington is unusual and they say it was a dangerous situation because a gun was involved.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 56 to 58, weight around 150 to 175 pounds.

If you have any information about this case, you can call the Ontario County Sheriffs Office at (585) 396-4634.
