Facebook users want to recall Congress

New poll results show many Americans would remove all members of Congress from office because of the shutdown, if it were possible.

13WHAM asked Facebook users to take part in a nationwide survey. We asked, "Should you be allowed to recall members of Congress for allowing the federal government to shut down?" Thirty-six of our co-owned Sinclair TV stations around the country asked the exact same question for this unscientific survey.
More than 14,000 people responded, "Yes, we should have the right to recall members of congress" -- that's 85% of respondents. About 2,000 or 15%, of people disagreed. Another 374 people said they didn't know.

We asked the question because millions of Americans are upset with the shutdown, and the political fighting in Washington. The US Constitution does not allow us to recall our elected members of Congress.
