Transit agreement in San Francisco

San Francisco, Calif. - The San Francisco Bay Area transit agency and unions have reached a tentative labor agreement ending the four-day strike.

The agreement still requires formal approval from union members.

This has got to be the last time this happens, said Calif. Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom. I think everyone's fed up and no one wants to see this ever happen again.  The people of this region don't deserve it and the folks behind me on both sides don't deserve this, and if there's any lessons to be learned, that is we have to work together.

Leaders expect some trains to be back up and running for the morning commute and to have the system operating at full speed by the afternoon.
