Apple co-founder surprises at RIT

Henrietta, N.Y. -- Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, made an impromptu stop at RIT Monday.

The inventor toured a dorm leaving a couple computer science students stupefied.

The visit was precipitated by an email by an RIT student.

Drew Gottlieb heard The Woz was speaking in Buffalo so he emailed asking if hed like a tour of the Computer Science House.

I got a call on my phone and its a California number I pick up and its Steve Wozniak, Gottlieb recalled.

Not long after, Wozniak was parking at RIT and taking a tour of Gottliebs dorm.

I think (what he talked about) is what Computer Science House embodies, its pure, unstructured creation, Gottlieb says.

Gottlieb says Wozniak complimented some of their projects.

Definitely people who are close to Computer Science House think its extremely cool that we were able to get the co-founder of Apple to hang out with us for a bit, Gottlieb said.
