Carestream creating medical imaging devices for veterans

Rochester, N.Y. -- Carestream, a medical imaging company on Verona Street in Rochester, has received orders from three government Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN) for 57 separate x-ray and radiography systems.

After a thorough evaluation process by the customer that involved multiple suppliers, three VISNs selected our mobile and room-based DR systems over competitive systems, Diana Nole, President of Carestreams digital medical solutions said in a statement.

These VISNs designated to receive the devices serve veterans in California, Nevada, Hawaii, New York, New Jersey, and the Oklahoma City area.

Carestreams radiology product portfolio, as well as the digital x-ray systems purchased by the government will be on display at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago this December.
