RPD make quick arrest after robbery
Rochester, NY -- Rochester Police has arrested a man they say robbed a Tim Horton's on Mt. Hope Avenue.
The robbery happened just after 4:00 am on Thursday morning. Employees said the suspect, 18-year-old Christopher Williams, came in and out of the store more than once overnight.
Employees tell police Williams came around the counter and grabbed one of the employees, putting a knife to her throat and demanding money. Another employee tried to jump in and stop the suspect with a knife, but was unsuccessful and was then forced to open the cash register.
The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money, but police tracked him down a short while later. Williams was arrested and charged with first degree robbery and fourth degree grand larceny.
Right now, it does not appear as though this robbery and the knife point robbery occurred on October 29, 2013 on Mt. Hope Ave. are related.
