Polls: Cuomo with big edge to stay Gov.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New polls show New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo with a big edge to keep his job as governor, the post he says put him on the new People magazine list of sexiest older men.

The Quinnipiac University poll shows the Democrat would beat one potential Republican challenger, the relatively unknown Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, by 56 to 25 percent next year.

Nearly 60 percent of voters say he should be re-elected.

The survey of 1,337 voters last Wednesday through Sunday has a margin of error of 2.7 percentage points.

A new Marist poll shows even bigger margins against Astorino, in a rematch with businessman Carl Paladino or against celebrity Donald Trump.

Asked about his People listing among fiftysomethings, Cuomo says New York is sexy and he landed on the list because he's governor.
