Rescue routes to Philippines impeded

Manila - Relief workers are struggling to get supplies to more than 600,000 people in need.

People have become so desperate for water they're strain it through their shirts.

Not enough vehicles are available and most roads are closed or blocked or decimated.

The U.S. is sending two more warships over. One carries helicopters to drop supplies to stranded villages.

Two more airports in the Philippines are open Wednesday, allowing more relief flights to reach the region devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.
