More expected on convicted killer in Seneca Co.

Seneca Co., N.Y. - More information is coming out Thursday about a plea deal accepted by a Seneca County man charged with murdering his own son.

Karl Karlsen's trial was set to begin this week; opening statements were postponed from Wednesday to Thursday.

Police believe the motive behind the murder was insurance money.

Karlsen had taken out a life insurance policy on his son just weeks before his death in 2008, and collected more than $700,000 when his son died.
