Remembering 15 year old shot answering door

Rochester, N.Y.--TySean Williams had just returned home from church Wednesday night with his Grandmother, when he answered the knock at the door, and was shot multiple times.

Family friend Rosena Addison broke down when she heard what happened.

Addison told 13WHAM News: "This wasn't meant for TySean, he wasn't that kind of kid. He had no enemies."

Rochester Police said by all accounts, TySean was a good kid with nothing in his background that would have lead to this violence. They said the killing wasn't random but Tysean wasn't targeted.

They hoped family members who were there can help identify the suspect.

TySean was an honor student in the Rochester City School District before transferring to Wheatland-Chili High School in 2012. He was part of the Urban-Suburban Transfer Program.

He was remembered by students and staff at both schools on Thursday. He was a good student, popular and easygoing according to school officials.

He had only been at Wheatland-Chili a little over a year, but had already connected with students and made an impression on teachers and staff.

Counselors were brought in to help students and teachers deal with this tragedy.
