LDC investigation update

Rochester, N.Y. - The company at the center of the LDC criminal case is called Navitech, and their big issue is allegations of bid-rigging of contracts totaling hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars.

Board members of Monroe Security and Safety Systems, known as M3S, met this morning.

M3S administrates contracts involving public safety including radios and other communications devices.

The board voted to sever its contracts with Navitech and claimed no knowledge of, or responsibility for, any wrong doing.

"When this board was presented with the option to let the contract to Navitech we had no knowledge of any impropriety at that point or any knowledge of any impropriates since that point up until the indictment was unsealed a week and a half ago, said Hank Stuart, M3S Board President.

The board also voted to add a new member - former Rochester police Chief David Moore.

An internal investigation, paid for by taxpayers, found irregularities within Navitech, but the details have not been released to public, or apparently to m3s in advance of today's votes.
