Storms flip cars in Indiana

Lebanon, Ind. - At least six people were killed.

Massive tornadoes ripped across the Midwest. Many caught on camera by storm chasers and those in the path of destruction.

Winds were strong enough to flip cars on their sides in Indiana.

Thousands hid in their basements hoping to ride out the storm.

However, many who live in Illinois, which was hardest hit by the storms, are returning to find nothing but rubble.

"So I go outside and I heard thistrain, it's like a train, like a loud train. Said one tornado victim, I said 'This isn't right. It's not thunder. And it just kept coming, getting louder. And so I went in the basement and about 10 seconds later I heard the [sound] I felt the house shaking and waited about a minute. Then I came back up and saw what you're seeing here."

I mean, a lot of people have a pile of rubble still, said tornado victim Michelle Crumrine. I mean, I don't have anything! The whole thing--it's gone. I don't know where it went."

The number of dead is expected to rise as emergency crews continue their work.
