Film tax credit expansion vetoed

Albany, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo is not ready to expand a tax credit for movie filming to counties near New York City.

Cuomo vetoed the proposal, fearing it would hurt efforts to entice movie-makers to film in upstate and Western New York.

Those behind "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," partially shot in Rochester this past summer, qualified for tax credits, which can shave as much as 30 percent off production costs.
