Rochester teen found dead on St. Bonaventure campus

Allegany, N.Y. -  St. Bonaventure University officials confirmed the death of a missing Rochester student Sunday.

In an e-mail Saturday, University President Sister Margaret Carney, O.S.F. said, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Department discovered Tyler Davis' body near the west entrance to the school.

Davis, 19, was a sophomore history major and graduate of Bishop-Kearney High School in Irondequoit.

Bishop-Kearney Principal Julie Locey released the following statement Sunday eveing:

The Bishop-Kearney community is saddened by the loss of Tyler Davis. He was a wonderful young man, had many friends and worked hard to make them smile. We will be working with the campus ministry to organize a prayer vigil in Tylers memory.

Davis' death is still under investigation.
