Local man gives back to soup kitchen

Rochester, N.Y. - Thanksgiving is more than a holiday for Willie Cotton. For him, it's a constant reminder of where he's been.

Cotton was homeless, and battled drug and alcohol addictions but says his saving grace was the St. Peters Soup Kitchen.

Its the reason that keeps bringing him back to dedicate his time for more than a decade.

They helped me out here, said Cotton. So I felt I needed to give back to the community so I figured Id volunteer and help out.

Cotton is one of 40 people giving their time feeding and making the people who walk through these doors feel important.
