Fake ID crackdown, 19 people arrested

Geneva, N.Y. - Almost 20 people were charged for possessing fake identification in Ontario County this weekend.

During an investigation that began Saturday evening, officials from the Department of Motor Vehicles, Ontario County Sheriff's Office and Geneva Police Department conducted a fradulent indentification detail in the City of Geneva.

A total of 19 underage bargoers were charged with possession of a forged instrument. Fifteen of the individuals were 19 years old, and the remaining four were 20 years old.  Eleven of the individuals charged were from out of state.

Police arrested three females in the Beef and Brew Pub at 291 Main St. It is not known whether the bar will be reported to the New York State Liquor Authority.

Authorities said Jacob Fox, 19, was charged with harassment and resisting arrest during the investigation. The Missouri resident was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday morning.
