Man arrested for several alleged burglaries

Irondequoit, N.Y. -- An Irondequoit man was arrested last Thursday after police said an investigation found him responsible for several alleged burglaries.

Police said Gerald Spinnichia, 43, entered a house on Heberle Drive in Irondequoit on November 21 around 10:45 a.m. After being confronted by the homeowner, Spinnichia claimed he was there to do a repair job. He left shortly afterward and was seen going toward other houses.

After a 911 call was made and police arrived, police observed Spinnichia inside another home committing a burglary and subsequently arrested him.

As the investigation developed, police learned Spinnichia was responsible for several other burglaries in Irondequoit, Greece and Rochester.

Spinnichia was arrested for Burglary 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 4th degree and Grand Larceny 4th degree.

Spinnichia was remanded to Monroe County Jail without bail and will appear in court Tuesday.
