Arts and crafts show celebrates 60 years

Henrietta, N.Y. An annual local arts and crafts show celebrated a milestone Saturday.

The School of the Holy Childhood, which serves kids and young adults with disabilities, held its 60th annual arts and crafts show.

An estimated crowd of 1,000 had all kinds of items to choose from, including Christmas ornaments, woodwork and baked goods most notably the famous pies.

Kate Balconi, the schools special events coordinator, said the events friendly atmosphere gets people to return every year.

I think there's a warmness people feel when they come here, she said. One of the things I hear again and again is how friendly everyone is, and that's a testament to the volunteers, our staff, and of course our students and adults.
