Robbery at Bill Gray's in Strong Museum

Rochester, N.Y. - Rochester police responded to a robbery inside the Strong Museum Friday afternoon.

The Rochester Police Department responded to Bill Gray's, a burger joint within the museum, around 1 p.m. for a reported robbery.

Officials said an employee was operating the cash register when the suspect asked for change. The employee opened the register and the male suspect allegedly reached over the counter and took money out of the drawer.

Police said the employee attempted to stop the suspect but was unsuccesful. The robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a male in his early 20's, roughly six feet tall, 180 pounds and has a goatee. He wore a brown long sleeved button-down shirt, dark jeans and dark shoes. He has a unidentifiable tattoo on the top of his right hand and wore dark sunglasses.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the incident can call the Rochester police.
