Super typhoon lashes Philippines

Manila - One of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded is lashing the Philippines Friday morning.

At least four people have been killed by Typhoon Haiyan so far, and experts are predicting catastrophic damage.

The storm made landfall with wind speeds of more than 140 miles an hour and gusts close to 200 miles an hour.

The wind and rain have set off landslides, ripped roofs off buildings and knocked out power to an entire province in the Philippines
