Lollypop Farms is overflowing
Perinton, N.Y. Lollypop Farm is getting full, and urging people who might be interested in a furry Christmas gift to consider getting a pet.
For the month of December, we are at an extraordinary high amount of animals in the building. We usually see this in the height of the summer when we have a lot of cats and kittens coming in, Humane Society President Alice Calabrese said.
There are nearly 900 animals, mostly cats and dogs, filling up the beds at the shelter.
This is a great place, but we think animals belong at home and have your sofa to sleep on, Calabrese said.
Lollypop Farm is charging half price on animal adoption fees, starting Friday, and continuing for 12 days.
