Oak Hill names new head golf pro

Rochester, N.Y.  - Oak Hill Country Club has named Jason Ballard as its new head golf pro.

Ballard succeeds Craig Harmon, who announced in September he was retiring following a 42-year career as head professional at Oak Hill.

Ballard, a native of Santa Rosa, California achieved his PGA professional status in 2004.

Ballard currently serves as senior assistant golf professional at Augusta National Golf Club and has held golf professional positions at premier private clubs around the country.

In his role at Oak Hill, Ballard will be responsible for all golf-related operations including member and guest play, tournament operations, golf instruction, practice area and Service Center, and the Golf Shop and will serve as the ambassador to members, guests, and the community.

Ballard will start in his new role shortly after the new year.

An official celebration of his welcome and Harmons retirement will be held at Oak Hill Country Club in May.
