State College, Pa. -- Researchers said they've found a new purpose for Viagra: let women use it.

Penn State University researchers said that the drug could treat menstrual cramps.

In a study, they said the drug was able to alleviate pain and could prevent possible long term effects of taking over-the-counter pain relievers repeatedly

They said more studies are needed.
