Frigid air in the U.S.A.

U.S. - An arctic chill is moving across the country.

People from Texas to Minnesota are waking up to frigid air and frosty weather.

In Wisconsin they're digging out from more than a foot of snow. Forecasters say the temperatures could plunge as low as 25 below zero.

Crews in Minnesota are working to clear streets before the deep freeze turns fluffy snow into rock-hard ice.

The ice has already arrived in Texas where drivers are struggling on roadways that have turned into sheets of ice from freezing rain.

Organizers this weekend's Dallas Marathon are keeping a close eye on the forecast too. Even though temperatures will be close to freezing, they say the race will go on unless it's deemed too dangerous.
