Hockey fans brave the cold

Thousands of people braved to the cold to watch the Amerks face off against the Monsters at Frozen Frontier Friday night.

Even though were a minor league team we still love our hockey and this is incredible, this is awesome. J.P. Worley said he drove in six hours from Ohio to watch his team take the ice.

I love hockey and to play it outdoors is like bringing it make to wear its supposed to me.

Outdoors, fans were bundled up to try to keep warm.

Amerks fan, Gordon Curley said while it was called, the event was worth it. People from around here are used to it were hardy you know this is like any other day, Curley said. Whats winter to a Rochesterian?

People from both teams agree the hockey game was great for both the fans and the city.

Were not going to miss an event like this, said J.P. Voight, it is huge national exposure, a big game, this is a win for Rochester in general.
