Concert raises awareness for World Aids Day

Rochester, N.Y. - Sunday marked the 26th anniversary of World Aids Day.

In Rochester a concert was held to raise awareness for men and women living with HIV or AIDS.

"Doing the [Positive] Thing" held their 13th Annual World Aids Day Concert at the Third Presbyterian Church.

The event featured musicians, poets and singers

Proceeds from the evening benefited the MOCHA Center, a non-profit HIV/AIDS organization based in Rochester.

"As a person living with HIV," said Bruce Smail, Executive Director of the MOCHA Center. "I think it's important to remember all the lives that are lost and all the work that still needs to be done."
