Brake alert located at wrong end of train

New York, N.Y. - Investigators have found a new twist in that deadly train derailment in New York.

Yes, there was a warning system on the train in case of an accident. But the "Alerter system, which can automatically apply the brakes if the operator is unresponsive, was located at the wrong end of the train.

Engineer William Rockefeller said he was in an early morning daze" when the metro north train careened off the tracks.

Four people were killed and more than 60 others were injured in the wreck.

At least one of those who survived has filed paperwork in a lawsuit against the railroad.
