That high-chair: more risky than you thought

Columbus, Ohio -- A study published in the monthly journal "Clinical Pediatrics" found a 22 percent increase in high-chair related injuries between 2003 and 2010.

There are about 9,400 high-chair related injuries annually in the U.S. on average.

Researchers have not figured out why injuries are on the rise, but they do say high chairs are often placed near hard surfaces such as tables, which can cause serious injuries.
