Iconic film takes over Seneca Falls

Seneca Falls, N.Y. -- The model for the fictional town where the movie Its a Wonderful Life took place hosted its annual festival commemorating the film this weekend.

Many say Seneca Falls was the inspiration for Bedford Falls in the 1946 Christmas classic, directed by Frank Capra and starring James Stewart.

This years festival marked the 67th anniversary of the films release. Several people were dressed as characters from the movie and even acted out scenes on the towns streets.

The town is home to the Its a Wonderful Life Museum, which announced last week it will soon add more than 4,000 items -- including some of Capras scripts and notes -- from the film to its collection.
