Mega Million Jackpot Draws Ticket Buyers

Rochester, N.Y. - The Mega Millions Jackpot is now $636-million. It's the second highest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, and it could get even bigger, up to $1-billion if no one wins Tuesday night or on Christmas Eve.

Everyone has a strategy.

I do quick pick and my house number I play all the time, said Anthony DAngelo, who was buying a Mega Millions ticket at World Wide News in Rochester.

Anytime it gets to a certain number like $250-million, that's kind of my thresh hold, I got to play, said fellow ticket buyer Stuart Levy.

At World Wide News in Rochester, people were lining up for tickets.
More people testing their luck than normal.

I'm playing the mega millions for the first time, said Elizabeth Swick

It's been just a little bit more [busy] because, I don't know you figure Christmas time and people want to throw and extra buck and hopefully they end up with some more change in their pocket, said John Theodorou, one of the owners of World Wide News.

Change to do whatever they want with. But maybe it is that time of year, because it seems like many people are thinking more about others than themselves.

[Id] pay off everything I owe, said Sandra Shuler, and give my family money.

I'd like to donate money help others that can't help themselves, said Levy.

I would help whoever I could help, there are people starving, don't have money and the economy aint good, said DAngelo.
