Police respond to two overnight stabbings

Rochester, N.Y. Rochester Police Department officers responded to reports of two stabbings in the city overnight.

The first incident occurred on Lyell Avenue, where two male victims, both 19 years old and both Rochester residents, were stabbed in the torso area after a fight that broke out around 11 p.m. Saturday.

The victims were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

According to police, there is no one in custody, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Rochester General Hospital for a report of a walk-in stabbing victim.

According to investigators, the victim was involved in a fight and was attacked from behind. The 19-year-old male was taken by private vehicle to Rochester General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There is no one in custody, and this investigation is also still ongoing, police said.
