Police seek bank robbery suspect

Penfield, N.Y. --- The Monroe County Sheriffs Office is searching for a woman suspected in a bank robbery one month ago.

The woman entered the First Niagara Bank in Penfield just after 2 p.m. on Friday, November 1st.

Investigators handling the case said the suspect passed a note to the teller requesting $50s and $100s so that, no one will get hurt.

There was no weapon displayed but the suspect kept one hand in her pocket the entire time she was in the bank.

The images attached show the woman wore sunglasses, a dark jacket, and a baseball cap that appears to have a symbol or logo on the left side above the brim.

She left the bank with an unidentified amount of money and the direction she fled is not known.

Investigators note that it is somewhat unusual to encounter a female suspect in cases like this.  They have shared these images and this information with police agencies around the region and have not learned of any similar cases involving a suspect that matches this description.
