Singing for Strong

Rochester, N.Y. - It's been written that great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day.

One local teenager, Elizabeth Maier, is putting this quote into action.

Maier, a senior at Webster Thomas High School, was so inspired by the work that Golisano Children's Hospital did for her little cousin, that she wanted to give back.

So she recorded a CD of Christmas music, and is selling copies to help raise money for the hospital.

"I've always been passionate about music and singing," said Maier "And I thought that recording a CD would be just the perfect way to do it."

You can pick up the CD at Coldstone Creamery in the Towne Center Plaza in Webster.

Maier said she's going to Monroe Community College next year to study broadcasting.
