"12 Years a Slave" tops SAG nominations

Los Angeles (AP) - The historic saga "12 Years a Slave" leads this year's SAG nominations - the awards show where actors nominate actors.

Also nominated -  Jon Wells' dysfunctional family adaptation "August: Osage County," the AIDS drama "Dallas Buyers Club," the White House servant tale "The Butler".

Each film was nominated Wednesday for overall performance by their casts.

Also nominated for best ensemble cast - the 1970's con artist romp "American Hustle."

"12 Years a Slave" also attained individual acting nominations for Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Lupita Nyong'o.

"August: Osage County" had individual nominations for Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.

"Dallas Buyers Club" also had nominations for Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto.

The awards ceremony airs January 18th.
