Two accused of using deceased person's benefit card

Lyons, N.Y. - Wayne County Sheriff's deputies said that two people were arrested for using the food stamp card of a person who died last year.

Investigators said that Jose Crespo, 55, and Mary Carl of Lyons spent nearly $1,000 over four months at stores including Walmart and Aldis.

The card was issued to George Brunson of Sodus, who was in assisted living until his passing last May.

Crespo and Carl are facing several charges,
